Our Mission briefly stated:

Bringing people together to share the peace of Christ.

Our mission is also stated:

Bringing people together to worship God
To walk humbly with Jesus
To learn the way of the cross
To do justice
To search for peace
To forgive our enemies
And to love and serve our neighbors

Our Vision:

Believing that Christ is our peace, we are an inclusive, diverse community called to give witness to the power of the Holy Spirit to break down the walls that divide us and build us up into one people—the children of God.

Core Values/Principles:

Thanksgiving Through prayer and hearing God’s Word, through the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, through preaching, witnessing, music and the arts, we receive God’s love and life, and offer our love and our lives to God, to one another and to God’s world.

Prayer and Caring We offer prayer, listening, acceptance and support for ourselves, for the community of Prince of Peace, for our friends and family, for the community in which we live, and for the whole world.

Journeying Faith is active, and takes us from one place to another. While we are together in this place, we seek to teach, heal, foster growth and equip one another for the journey of faithful living. We understand change as God’s continuing creation of the world, and seek to be open to beginnings, transitions and endings, trusting always in God’s steadfast love and trustworthy guidance.

Serving and Sharing As Christ served those he loved, he called those who would be his disciples to be servants of all, and gave them gifts to give away. We seek to identify our gifts, both spiritual and material, and to shape the life of our community around sharing these gifts to bring healing and justice to our neighborhood, our region, and throughout the world.

Befriending Spiritual friendships are the basic relationships through which growth in faith and the practice of all our values takes place. To be Christian is to offer friendship without prejudice, and through caring attention and understanding, to help each other
